Family FUN PAKS
The Caring Center provides 150 Family FUN PAKs to bring families together to create memories. FUN stands for 'Families Uniting Now' and PAKs stand for 'Parents and Kids.'
Holiday Baskets 2017
Please help us provide 300 baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. Donate $50 to purchase items or donate the items for the basket.

Classic Reruns Christmas
Sales Set-Up Help
Classic Reruns hosts a big Christmas Sale on December 1st and 2nd, and we need help getting the store ready for the big sale! Sign-up for a 2-hour block on Thursday, November 30th and Friday, December 1st to help stock the store.
Teen Shopping Day Set-Up Help
Parents come to shop for teens on Thursday and Friday, December 14th and 15th. We need volunteers on Monday, December 11th and Tuesday, December 12th to set up for the parents to select their gift items. Please sign-up for a two hour slot to help get the back room ready.
Teen Shopping Day Personal Shopper
Shopping Day for the families of teens is planned for Thursday, December 14th and Friday, December 15th. We need personal shoppers to help the families select items for their children. Please sign up for a 2 hour time slot and park in the back of The Caring Center and entering through the side door.
Who We Are
The Caring Center in Lebanon, Indiana, works to stabilize families in crisis and to move those caught in poverty towards self-sufficiency. We are the umbrella organization for programs helping the needy of Boone County, Indiana. As the programs offered have evolved, we have also grown and developed. We are overseen by a Board of Directors, and have an Executive Director charged with supervising these programs and coordinating the caring work of our many volunteers.
We help families and individuals living in generational and situational poverty and those who are food insecure. Services that are available at the Caring Center are food , clothing, personal care items, household items, furniture, etc. (View the monthly needs.) We also offer Transitional Housing, Community Gardens, Cooking Club, Table Talk, Life Skills classes, including Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin'-By-World, and we serve as a Salvation Army Extension Unit.
The Caring Center serves thousands every year through the compassionate care of scores of donors and volunteers. The Caring Center can receive and store frozen food, including meat in large quantities. Donations to the food pantry are greatfully accepted. View this month's Caring Center needs.
Feeding Our Future
Feeding Our Future is the partnership with The Caring Center and other local community organizations to meet the needs of children facing poverty and food insecurity. Learn more about Feeding Our Future.
The Caring Centers distributes clothing to families in need through the Clothing Closet and offers clothing and other household items through the Caring Center's retail shop, Classic Reruns.
The Caring Center transitional housing program provides a structured, managed home environment with comprehensive case management for families in crisis and at-risk clients. Learn more about transitional housing.
