In 2024, nearly 1 in 20 people experienced food insecurity in Boone County, IN. In 2026, that statistic has increased to 1 in 10.

Donations can be received in the following ways:

•Drop your donation off at our drop off locations: Great Lakes Ace Hardware, Habitat for Humanity Retail Store, St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, and The Caring Center, and St. Francis In-The-Fields Episcopal Church (main lobby, M-Th 9am-5pm).

•Purchase online (using your favorite online shopping method) and ship directly to The Caring Center (1230 Ransdell Court, Lebanon, IN. 46052)

Join with us to keep Boone County warm this winter!

This year, we’re simplifying our coat distribution. We are continuing to partner with the Knights of Columbus of St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church in Zionsville, IN. to collect coats for the community. 

We will not be having our annual coat giveaway, but coats will be here and available at your request.

If you have coats to donate, please drop them off at The Caring Center during operation hours.

We stabilize families in crisis. 

The Caring Center in Lebanon, Indiana  works to stabilize families in crisis and to move those caught in poverty towards self-sufficiency. We’re a non-profit community service organization assisting others struggling financially. We are a needs based organization, and participation in our programs is based on assessment of needs. 

Our Programs Help Our Community.

We help families and individuals living in situational and generational poverty and those who are food insecure. Services that are available at the Caring Center include food, clothing, personal care items, household items, furniture, food and educational classes, transitional housing and many more services to families and individuals in need. We don’t discriminate based on ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, gender, age, or nationality. We are the umbrella organization for programs helping the needy of Boone County, Indiana.
