We stabilize families in crisis.
The Caring Center in Lebanon, Indiana works to stabilize families in crisis and to move those caught in poverty towards self-sufficiency. We’re a non-profit community service organization assisting others struggling financially. We are a needs based organization, and participation in our programs is based on assessment of needs. We help families and individuals living in situational and generational poverty and those who are food insecure.
1 in 10 people experience food insecurity.
In 2024, nearly 1 in 20 people experienced food insecurity in Boone County, IN. In 2026, that statistic has increased to 1 in 10.
Stock our Pantry for the Holidays.
Help us feed Boone County this Holiday Season! Although we’ll be collecting these items till the end of the year, we’ll be packing up our Thanksgiving boxes the week of Nov. 16 and Christmas boxes the week of Dec. 14. Please note that only non-perishable items may be dropped off at our donation locations. All perishable foods need to be brought directly to the Caring Center.
Donations can be received in the following ways:
•Drop your donation off at our drop off locations: Great Lakes Ace Hardware, Habitat for Humanity Retail Store, St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, and The Caring Center, and St. Francis In-The-Fields Episcopal Church (main lobby, M-Th 9am-5pm).
•Purchase online (using your favorite online shopping method) and ship directly to The Caring Center (1230 Ransdell Court, Lebanon, IN. 46052)
•Purchase from our AMAZON WISH LIST

Our Programs Help Our Community.
We help families and individuals living in situational and generational poverty and those who are food insecure. Services that are available at the Caring Center include food, clothing, personal care items, household items, furniture, food and educational classes, transitional housing and many more services to families and individuals in need. We don’t discriminate based on ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, gender, age, or nationality. We are the umbrella organization for programs helping the needy of Boone County, Indiana.
our food pantry is open 30+ hours a week. We also host a monthly food pantry in partnership with Gleaners.
We have opportunities to volunteer daily at The Caring Center and Classic Reruns. We have additional opportunities during the holidays.
